I captured this image because I’m drawn to the power of natural light falling from above—that skylight effect creates such dramatic contrast and sculptural quality. What I love most about this photograph is how it suggests rather than reveals. The body becomes a form defined by light and shadow, where you sense the presence without seeing everything. The zenithal light carves out the contours, creating those deep blacks and bright highlights that give the image its emotional weight. It’s that balance between concealment and revelation that makes it work for me—inviting the viewer to engage with the composition rather than simply observe.
