I’m posting a photo. Here’s a picture of a model I collaborated with. Sometimes I realize I haven’t properly prepared some collaborations. I end up in a session where it feels more like I’m fulfilling a request rather than truly collaborating — and honestly, I don’t like that at all.
When I work with a client on a paid assignment, I take photos for the client. But when I do a collaboration, for me it’s an artistic exchange — both sides should meet halfway. With this person, that’s not what happened. From the very beginning, I felt her reluctance and her need for total control over her image. As a result, I’m really disappointed with this shoot, even though the photos turned out nice. It’s just not what I wanted.
Like the previous photo I shared, this one is much closer to my own universe. That’s life — it won’t stop me from doing collaborations from time to time, but I’ll be more careful from now on
